The Dark Knight

     The Dark Knight is the 2008 sequel of the movie Batman Begins. It starts off with batman doing his usual things, such as saving the people of Gotham.

     I personally love the Batman movies because they're super intense and very action packed. Also, they always pick the perfect actors for the parts, such as Christian Bale because he is the perfect batman and Heath Ledger played the Joker perfectly because he was hilarious but threatening.


     In the movie Bruce Wayne or Batman is in love with Rachel Dawes but she is dating Harvey Dent and Batman has to continuously save Rachel and Harvey because the Joker is after them. Batman ends up having to chase the Joker down and they get him into jail after a long process.


     The Joker then puts a bomb on two boats and puts the people from the jail on one boat and everyone else on a different boat and tries to make them blow each other up but they both end up surviving due to the help of Batman. Then the Joker threatens that if they don't kill one of the main men in the city that he will blow up the nearest hospital. Everyone proceeds to getting everyone out of the hospital but they manage to leave one person in there, Harvey Dent. Harvey's face got half burnt off so they decide that he is now two face.

     I think that everyone at one point in there lives should take time to watch the Batman movies because they're full of so much action and they are so good. So go to the movie store and rent Batman begins and The Dark Knight and in the summer of 2012 the newest one is going to come out, so you should go see that as well.

Devil

     So recently I decided to sit down with some friends and watch this movie called Devil. I had heard of it prior to watching but never really thought anything about actually watching it. To be honest, i wouldn't suggest anyone watching this movie. It is classified as a horror movie but there isn't much horror to it and the plot line wasn't very good either.

     It started off showing five normal people doing their everyday things but they all end up getting into one elevator cart. At first they all think that they are going to proceed on with their day but the elevator stops leaving them delayed for future jobs. All of a sudden more things start to go wrong and the lights go out. When the lights turn back on they find that one member in the elevator has been killed and it wasn't any of them.

     The next time that the lights go out another person dies but in a different way. Then this happens until one guy is left and the one old lady that was killed previously is possessed by the devil and she threatens to kill him as well. While the old lady is doing that he confesses to the police officer that he was the one who killed the police officers family and did not know it. So the old lady/ devil let him go and the firemen finally break into the elevator saving just the one guy that survived.


     Personally, I think that they could've made it a lot more scary. Also, the ending really was not that great, it just kind of ended. I definitely think that they could've created a better story line. Although i will admit, I probably will not go into an elevator again, especially with an old woman. So in my opinion, you really shouldn't waste your time watching this movie.

The Killers

     The Killers is a action and romance movie starring Ashton Kutcher and Katherine Heigl. This movie puts a nice twist on romance by adding the action and comedy and it is actually a very interesting movie to watch.

     The Killers starts off with Jen (Katherine) on a vacation with her parents after a recent break up. She ends up running into Spencer (Ashton) and he asks her out to dinner. So they end up having a great time and go back to the hotel but while Spencer is about to tell her that he is a licensed killer she falls right asleep.

     They end up getting married and after withdrawling from being a killer, someone comes into their house and starts attacking him. Then they have to escape and Jen is freaking out because she doesn't know what is going on.

     They end up having to run around and always be armed and avoid anyone that could be a threat and they realize that that is just about anyone including their neighbors. The end is a shocker so I don't want to ruin it so you can watch it

yourself!

     I enjoy this movie for many reasons such as I always like a good action movie. Another reason is that I love Ashton Kutcher, not just because he is gorgous but he's actually a good and funny actor. This movie is very funny and it is fun to watch. The characters are played perfectly by the actors and they make it great. So I think that you should go watch this movie if you're looking for a good movie.

The Parent Trap

     Although I usually do my blog on newer movies I decided to write this blog on a classic movie, The Parent Trap.

     The Parents trap is about two twin girls that parents got divorced and they were split up but end up discovering each other at a camp they both attend in the summer. So the twins, Annie and Hallie Parker, think of this plan to switch places and one goes back to California to live with their dad and one goes back to London to live with their mom.

     Annie who went to go live with her dad now finds out that he is newly engaged to a woman that she does not like very much, because their main goal is to try to get their parents back together. Hallie who went to go live with her mom was trying to figure out why they got a divorce.

     After living with the opposite parents for awhile the mom's butler and the dad's maid start to get suspicious that the girls were switched. So Hallie and Annie think of a plan for the parents to meet up at a hotel and send them out to dinner and try to get them to fall back in love.

    After all that the parents decide to make the girls go on a camping trip with the father's new girlfriend. The end up ruining her time there and forcing him to want to leave her and get back with his first wife.

     In my opinion this is one of the greatest movies of all time because it combines comedy and romance into one movie. I think that this is a very funny movie and very ironic that the girls met a camp and taught each other everything that they need to know to switch places. I think it is a clever concept and there aren't many movies like this one so it's really good. If you haven't seen this, which you probably have, you should go rent on DVD. You may end up loving it, it's a movie for everyone. Although it may be from the 90's it's still one of my favorite movies.

Never Say Never

     As you all may know i love Justin Bieber, and a lot of people tend to disagree with me. Not just because he is gorgeous but because he is very inspiring and this shows in his movie Never Say Never.

     The movie Never Say Never is a movie revolving around Justin's life and how he got where he is now. It starts off showing some old youtube videos which is how he was discovered. He was discovered by his manager Scooter Braun who decided not to put him through the TV or movie ordeal. 

     As Justin started being found and he made his record deal with Usher, millions of people we're watching his home videos him and his mom we're making and he started to become one of the most famous singers discovered on youtube. 

     As the movie goes on it shows what he has to do in order to prepare for his biggest concert and what life is like behind the scenes. Not only is it a movie that shows him performing in his concert at Madison Garden but it shows how he grew up with barely anything. He just went with following his dream and that is how he ended up being one of the most popular singers in the world now. 

    In my opinion i think that everyone should go see this movie even if you despise Justin Bieber because it shows that anyone can do something if they apply themselves to it.He also shows that even though he has so many haters he has a lot of true fans and he doesn't care if people want to hate on him. There are plenty of people that have gone to see this movie and changed their mind into which they like Justin because he is inspirational. I think he is inspirational because he came from a small town and now he is so famous and you just have to remember to Never Say Never. So hit the theaters up with some friends to go see this movie in either normal or 3D, it is worth it. 

Beastly

     Kyle Kingson was all about looks, intelligence, and wealth. He always won everything when it came to school because of his looks and his intelligence but he was always so insulting. One day the school "witch", Kendra, told him that she would give him one more chance to be nice to everyone around him and not just think about himself. So Kendra gave him his second chance at this evironmental school party and he ends up blowing her off. Then Kendra casts a spell on Kyle so that transforms him into what he looks like on the inside, which is very ugly, and he has one year to find love and turn back into his normal self.

     Since he is disgusted about the way he looks his dad gets him a place he can stay with his cleaner and his blind teacher so that he doesn't have to go out in public looking the way he does.So one night when he is walking around on the town he notices that a drug dealer, Lindy's father, is in a prediciment in which Kyle has to go save Lindy. Then he goes to Lindy's father and sees he killed a man so he makes him a promise that if he could keep Lindy in his house with him he wouldn't tell anyone that he killed that man.

     They both end up falling in love with each other just before his year is over and before she goes on her trip away from him. She ends up coming back and realizes that it was him and knew that Kyle was really a nice guy if you went deep down under all his horribleness.

     In my opinion this movie was fantastic. It was like a modern version of Beauty and the Beast but it was so much better. I think that everyone should go see this movie because it is amazing and everyone can enjoy it. It was also fulled of a lot of suspense but it was a classic romance story. You should all go see this movie because it was awesome!

Inception

     Dom Cobb a specialized spy in which he has to extract information frrom the unconcious mind of his enemies while they are dreaming and asleep. So Cobb has not been able to go visit his kids due to this work and how dangerous it is and he gets offered a nearly impossible task called "Inception" so that he can be done with this job and go back to live with his children. In order to do this he has to plant an idea or further an idea in his enemies head.

     Cobb does this by finding a group of people that he can take with him into these people's dreams. He needs fighters and an architect. He uses these people so that he doesn't have to use his creating skills because him and his wife used to live in this subconcious place that they created and his wife stayed in there. Everytime he tries to create a place for them in the dreams his wife ends up being there.

     So him and his team plan to accompany Robert Fischer Jr. on a flight to Australia so that they can have him fall asleep and they can go into his subconcious dream. They have to go through a multitude of places to get him to convince him to disband his father's company.

     Everytime they go into a different place it is entering a different persons dream and they have to face different people. His architect ends up finding Cobb in his own dream spending time with his wife Mal and then she has to leave Cobb with Mal. They have to make sure they fall to wake up so they have the falls planned perfectly so that they wake back up on the airplane just in time to get off of it.

     I really enjoyed this movie because it is a mind teaser and very action packed. I like the fact that behind all of Cobb's work he goes back and tries to visit his wife even though she is convinced that she is living in the real world. Also, I liked how they could enter anyones dream and plant an idea in their head, i thought that was interesting. Anyways, this movie just came out recently so you should go rent it and watch it a few times. It's one of the best action movies I've seen in awhile!

Fired Up

      As you all may know Fired Up is my ultimate favorite movie. Although it isn't a new movie I wanted to blog about it because everyone should see this movie. After seeing the movie multiple times let me tell you a little bit about it.

     The two main characters Nick and Shawn are the two main football players for their school football team because they want to pick up girls. After hearing that the cheerleaders were going to cheer camp for three weeks they decide to forget about football camp and go to cheer camp after convincing the coach and squad members to let them on the team knowing that they were going there to get girls. Once the guys get there they realize that this was the perfect place for them to get as many girls as they could and bail out of the place with one week left to go stay at their friend's dad's house. Nick discovers the head cheer camp coach and decides that he wants to be with her. After awhile though Shawn begins to fall for the head cheerleader, Carly who has a boyfriend that refers to himself as Doctor Rick. The boys end up discovering that Rick is using Carly so that his parents will give him whatever he wants.

     So as the boys planned they were getting ready to leave the place after two weeks but Shawn decides that he wants more time with Carly. Although Nick doesn't approve of this he let's them stay but Doctor Rick ends up finding the bus tickets leading to them getting kicked out of cheer camp. 

     After staying at their friend's dad's house for a day they realize that they need to go back and help the cheerleaders win the competition. So they go back and apologize to the team and end up being in the competition. Then Carly finds out that her boyfriend is cheating on her with one of the other cheerleaders from one of the best teams. So she ends up breaking up with him to be with Shawn and Nick fulfills his dream of being with the head cheer camp coach. 

Anyways Fired Up is probably one of the funniest and most quotable movies so you should go watch it! 

Tron: The Legacy

     In this blog I'm going to talk about the new movie Tron and summarize the movie as well as give my opinion on it. The main character, Sam Flynn, discovers the reason for his father's disappearance years ago and ends up getting trapped in this world his father created and has been living in for about 20 years.He ends up in Tron because his father sent out a message that he needs his son to help him in saving the safety of Tron. 

     His father made this world called Tron because he was a popular game creater and he named it Tron after his good friend who got changed into one of the evil people of Tron. Sam gets trapped in this world and he meets a girl named Quorra and Sam, his father and her have to go on a life or death trek across Tron to try to save it before the computer generated Kevin Flynn tries to ruin Tron and take over. This is a difficult task because Kevin Flynn has created things that are so complex and advanced such as vehicles, weapons, and landscapes. As they are trying to destroy all the evil game pieces they come across the most powerful of them, Tron, and they end up having to fight him.

     I would recommend this movie to a lot of people. I recommend this movie because not only does it have a great story line it is also full of a lot of action. Also, you can see this movie in either 3D or 2D but i prefer the 3D because you get the full affect. So when this movie comes out on DVD you should deffinetly rent it and watch it! 

Introduction

     I'm Mindy Dills and this is my blog about current movies in theatre and on DVD. I'm doing a blog about current movies because I am very interested in movies and I enjoy going to see these news movies. I have a lot of experience with movies because I go to the movies a lot and I always watch new movies that come out on DVD.  In my blog I will talk about a large variety  of movie types because I like to watch basically any type of movie there is. I like new movies because I like to see all the new things that are forming in the world such as new types of technology. I will be blogging about what these movies are about and when they are coming out on DVD or if they are already out.

    I will try to explain new movies for each blog. I feel that there needs to be more blogs about movies because people can read them before they watch the movies to see if they will be interested in the movie. Also, I will make sure not to ruin the endings of movies when I blog about them. Anyways, I'll try to post as much detail as possible in order to help you decide if you would like to watch the movie or not.  If you have any good movie suggestions just let me know on my blog.
